On the UptimeRobot free plan a check runs every 5 minutes, so a 4-minute outage can pass unseen and a longer one is found up to 5 minutes late. PULSX checks every 60 seconds for everyone. To get 60 seconds on UptimeRobot you move to Solo.
Which kinds of monitor are free
UptimeRobot Free covers HTTP, port, ping and keyword checks. SSL expiry, DNS, cron (heartbeat) and API monitoring start on Solo. PULSX includes HTTP, heartbeat, TCP port, DNS and ping monitors, and tracks the SSL certificate on every HTTPS monitor, at no cost. PULSX has no keyword check.
Working as a team
UptimeRobot Free and Solo are single-login plans. Login seats start on Team, with 3 included. Every PULSX team has 25 seats with roles, on-call rotations and an audit log, free.
Where alerts can go
UptimeRobot Free sends to email and 5 integrations (Google Chat, Discord, Pushover, Pushbullet, Splunk). Slack, Telegram and Microsoft Teams are on Solo, and webhooks, Zapier and PagerDuty are on Team. PULSX sends to email, Slack, Discord, webhooks and phone push on the free plan. PULSX has no SMS, voice call, Telegram or Teams alerts; UptimeRobot sells SMS and voice credits.
Status pages
UptimeRobot Free gives 1 basic status page. Design options and your own domain start on Solo, and subscribers on Team. PULSX status pages are unlimited, with themes, announcements and email subscribers, free. PULSX does not serve status pages on your own domain.
